EARNING MORE...

Earning more...

To spend more…and to become spent forces…is this success? And if it is success then why money alone cannot…nor can academic excellence…nor intelligence and intellect enable one to access The Success…of satisfaction and contentment within? As we earn do we learn too the workings of life?

Nothing is wrong with money as nothing is wrong with anything life provides. It is how we use it…how we perceive it…that makes its impact—soothing or peeving. In this frenzy for material …and outward…and worldly… success people are not only separated from self, but reluctant to find their selves. ‘Money’ not only would appease but allow the presence of peace in life, even in ‘its’ presence, when ‘it’ flows from full awareness of the spiritual being one is.

Well we could call it the bane of progress, which has been based only on the intellect, and what 'material' that intellect can produce. It is the matter that has become important...making life driven by the material. No wonder the growth is found where it is...yet it fails to satisfy at the deepest level. Success comes at the cost of peace...and the money earned to spend more, fails to stop people from becoming spent forces, in the bigger context of life...and all because we have separated education from true education...which would truly make all aware of their own truth...and they would think their thoughts...and not of others. They would be leading their lives...and not someone else's. They would be following their true calling.

Yet I am confident that we shall be up again...with the guide being our inner selves...with spirituality honored and embraced...instead of being removed from the title of a lecture, lest it puts off youngsters. More and more youngsters are responding to the call from within...this has been my experience with my interactions...in person and through my writings.  Lets us not forget that the next generation, even scientifically are a more evolved generation…and thus evolution of the soul would ensure their responding to the clarion call from within…more than ever now.

None can ignore the call of one's truth for long...soul finds it way out by drawing all within...

Spirituality is our essence and by embracing it we are just acknowledging our truth…and in simple terms when we recognize, acknowledge, accept, and be, Who We Are, we are being the spirits that we are…

When the material growth is an outpouring of the preceding and collateral spiritual growth, the earning and more earning of money is a natural in flow…and not a result of craving for ‘more and more’. The money earned thus, allows us to spend more…not only for self but for all…yet doesn’t allow us to become spent forces…as then we actually live our life…not spend it…

Great Attitude

Meaning is what we give...to anything and everything...as well as to nothing. Meaning is the label that we give and label our own level of consciousness and perception, if not in entirety, at least contextually.

That is why Gratitude is a great attitude to have…

One who feels gratitude for all that life is, experiences gratitude for experiencing gratitude too. As gratitude is an attribute, is an attitude that enables one to honor and acknowledge the infinite graces that life offers and proffers. Without this acknowledgement and gratitude the graces lie unrecognized, unutilized…unattended to…and disgraced thus…

Gratitude is a gift in itself…without which gifts cease to be...at least for us...

Realizations

Realizations are not consolation prizes...they are the guiding light, showing us the way...as we move towards what we call future, through the continuum of space and time. Furthermore the need to remember the realizations is not less a realization, because otherwise those realizations become a transient visitor of our being...while it should have permanence in the being.  And the realizations can gain permanence in the being, only when the being is being the realization.

Selective Amnesia

"CHANGE almost the entire team, 'especially the seniors'  is the cry raging the nation suffering from a malady called 'Cricket-fever'. And the anger, not unusual, as this has been demonstrated time and again after such performances by the team. Won't say unwarranted. Yet at the same time in the anger we lose rationale. Change is always welcome...and is natural, whether we wish for it or not. But the way it is proposed again brings to the fore that we prefer selective amnesia. And the repartee would be we do not live 'in' our memory. True. Yet everything is contextual. And I can speak for only myself...and that is what I am doing...as I have been...

Have no qualms in stating that when we propose things we overlook things...we prefer not to place ourselves in the position of the individuals we are painting as  villains. Hence am not bewildered as Rahul Dravid's retirement is doing the rounds. Hailed always a Wall...with a chink shown...we are ready to fell the wall. I talk specifically of him not merely because I am a fan of his...

In the test matches India played in 2011, it is I think not required to mention who held the team...and led the team's performance. You remove his scores and then you would  be facing the same situation that the team manifested in the recently concluded test series. The Wall that withstood all...when fails, everybody fells him...

Nobody continues forever...he too won't. And he would be the first one to own up the responsibility. He has always been a team man...and along with VVS Laxman, has been instrumental in most of the victories...and in saving matches. Yet when the team fails...they are held responsible and fit to be given the axe. Within the month we forget that without him the team would have faltered, as it has, with him failing to score...

Well maybe that is the price he has to pay...a Wall has to always perform as the Wall...and that he would even now...if that means Walling the brick-bats...He has given everything to the game, that has given him everything...and he needs no certificate from me for that. It is just that I felt the urge to come out with what wished to come out...for the person who has been held responsible many a times for India's failure...maybe at times more than he has been hailed as savior...and facilitator of victories...

This is the bane of fanaticism...the vision becomes too objective...while life in itself is subjective...be it the field of cricket or the bigger field of life...

Existence, Religion, Faith

Drawing conclusions is a gift we have been endowed with, having being created as the intelligent species that we are. As to how creation in entirety came into being is a question that has been asked since time immemorial...and answered too, depending on the answers received and accepted (or liked) by the one who answers. And this shall continue...and continue to contradict or corroborate depending on what an individual’s perspective leads to and where it leads to.

As of ‘faith’, it is distinctly different from belief...as far as I perceive. And if one has to relate with respect to a religion, then, true and absolute faith would never incite the ‘faithful’ to denounce all other religions...or bring harm to followers of a different faith. True followers of faith (any) realize that as their faith is true for them, so is true the faith of ‘others’ for ‘them’. Religion that we 'see' today is less about faith, but more about rituals and 'teachings' depending upon the interpretations of the interpreter...man-made...with impositions implied, "What is good for me is good for you as well" or "It is so, so it has to be so". True faith is accessed within...and without being essentially within the framework of any particular religion. Faith in itself is a religion...

When we have faith, we do not need anything else...as it is our faith that guides us to 'be' and 'do'...how and what we need to 'be'...and do what needs to be done to unravel the truth...and the answers, the answers that we seek...primary being that of our being, origin of our existence…and the reasons for the very existence of existence…
